Those that know me should know that I’m quite the techie type of person. I LOVE GADGETS!
So it’s no surprise that when I saw this gadget, the camera / video drone, I instantly wanted to get it in my hands to do some “testing” 😉
What is Lily?
Lily is a remote control drone that follows you where ever you go and will record video, or photograph you with it’s 12MP camera. Lily will also allow you to do FULL HD video with slomo functionality!
Here are the specs for those that like to know:
- Video: 1080P @ 60 fps & 720P 120 fps.
- FOV: 94 degrees
- Video Format: H.264 codec, .mp4 file format
- Image stabilization: Yes
- Images: 12 Megapixel
- Memory: SD Card (4 GB card provided)
- Battery Life: 20 minutes of continual shooting
- Waterproof: Yes
The one spec I haven’t seen in this is the F Stop and shutter speed of the camera. This matters because if you are in a dark area, you may not get the images you want if the Aperture (F stop) is sub par.
Does Lily come with an app?
Yes, Lily comes with an app (not sure if it’s only apple or android or both). it allows you to change camera settings, as well as do custom shots.
Here’s the first advertisement video for this first ever throw and shoot camera drone.
The advertised price on this piece of beauty is $499. Pre-order is going on at the time of posting this post. It’s priced very competitively because with the GoPro, you get a great HD camera but no drone capability. With Lily, the camera is built into this drone, along with the tracking device (wrist watch size), all built into one compact device.
This unit is definitely on my list of acquisitions!
Make it a great day!
