Your Happiness is Your Responsibility in Relationships, Business, and Life.
One of the lessons that I’ve learned over the years is that I can not depend on someone else for my happiness. It has to come from within and it has to be done all on your own. Today, I’m going to talk about how to take responsibility for your happiness.
This is also true in every area of your life. Sure, there will be times, and brief times, that you are overjoyed or hysterically laughing at someone else or with them as the case may present.
However, if you’re going to be truly happy, you need to find that happiness from within. The only real place you can find that on a more permanent basis is from God, the Father. He is our creator and loves us more than we can possibly fathom. We are in a relationship with Christ. He expects us not to be lazy but to be doers of the word.
That means to take responsibility for your happiness is to actively put action to the Word of God. Now I’m just as committed to this as is anyone following Jesus. I believe God wants the best for all of His children.
How To Take Responsibility For Your Happiness
Someone who depends on someone to act a certain way or is waiting for a situation to work out the way they want it to work out is usually a very unhappy person and they don’t really know what they are looking for in life.
If you struggle with feelings that you never seem to be happy or you are always trying to control situations so that you are happy, you should know that God IS on your side and wants you to prosper. He LOVES you!I know that there is nothing better for them than to be glad and to get and do good as long as they live. Ecclesiastes 3:12 Click To Tweet
Remember that as you go through this amazing New Year 2018! It’s up to you and nobody else to have happiness in your life on a permanent basis.
Happiness In Business
It’s not something that people often think about in a literal sense but when you think about business and making money – what is that emotion?
How would you take responsibility for your happiness as (insert life calling here)?
Sure, there are good times that completely outdo the daily grind of a 9-5. However, there will be trouble or a downswing in everyone’s life that could cause you to lose your happiness and/or joy. Jesus said…
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
So, if you aren’t happy with your current situation, look for something that will make you happy. Just in the verse above, you see that Jesus is telling us that there is nothing to fear. He’s telling us to go do what He has given us the authority to do.
What is that you ask?
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. – Luke 10:19
So literally, there’s nothing to be afraid of. If you fear anything, then it’s because you believed the lie of the enemy of our souls.
That’s my word for today, and I hope it encouraged you today! No go out and be a happy Christian. That alone will attract more people into the kingdom of heaven than anything you do. After that, the Holy Spirit will lead and guide your words. Just listen to your spirit.
